We made published the survey online on Thursday 2th October 2014 and collected results on Monday 6th October.
By conducting primary research in the form of a survey, it meant we were able to get up-to-date information based on the specific information we needed to know. The platform we decided to use, which was 'SurveyMonkey' meant we were able to collect qualitative data, as the results we received aren't going to speak for the whole world. However the results have shown us some trends when we analysed results one by one, which can help us moving forward- if and when we need to ever refer back to, or are stuck on an idea.
I have put it onto social networking sites such as Twitter:
All members of my group did this too. I made use of the features that social networking websites have such as the option to 'pin' a tweet. By doing this, anyone who viewed my profile would see this tweet no matter how many other tweets I made. It would always be the first tweet they saw. This is a great feature for this particular piece of research as it meant that more people would be able to see my tweets, even more than would see it by just putting it on the timeline.
I have also wrote the same on my Facebook as this has older members of my family - which we will be able to get some votes from people older than 25. I made this particular status visible to friends of friends, which widens the audience even further and gives the survey more chance of spreading, if friends see other friends doing it. I also made some of my friends share the survey, which meant is widened the audience range even further.
